We are excited to announce Matchstick Ventures’ investment in Rocker, a company pioneering agentic AI for enterprise leaders. 

The challenges of modern organizational execution, especially in high-agency, cross-functional environments, leave managers and executives overwhelmed by the need to manually synthesize context, identify risks, and keep teams aligned. Traditional solutions like ERP systems are ill-suited for today’s knowledge work, failing to offer real-time, actionable insights without cumbersome data entry. They also are uni-dimensional in the data they have access to and therefore insights they can provide. Modern APIs, MCP and AI offer the potential to help executives coordinate across functions, goals and teams like never before.  

Rocker is capitalizing on this gap by introducing a radically new paradigm: proactive, personalized software agents built specifically for leadership in complex enterprises. Rocker deploys what they describe as an “ant colony” of intelligent agents, one per manager, that operate autonomously within each user’s digital workspace. These agents integrate seamlessly into tools like Slack, Gmail, and Google Docs, learning their user’s goals and synthesizing situational awareness from existing communication and documentation. Rather than a centralized system with surveillance overtones, each agent works for its individual user, surfacing their world which includes risks, missed handoffs, and alignment gaps that would otherwise remain invisible. As trust grows, these agents coordinate across the organization, creating a viral, bottom-up network effect that enhances execution across the enterprise. Ultimately, this yields an emergent system-of-record for corporate execution without requiring structured input, a new category of ambient, high-context ERP for knowledge work.

The team behind Rocker brings extraordinary experience and credibility. CEO Alex Vogenthaler was previously the GM of Stripe’s core product portfolio, overseeing over 90% of revenue and leading transformative efforts in payments, strategy, and go-to-market operations. Before that, he held pivotal product and sales leadership roles at Google, including scaling Google Drive and Workspace. CTO Peter Terrill is a two-time founder with successful exits to Google and Stripe and previously scaled engineering at Stripe Connect. Their domain expertise, product intuition, and deep networks across tech leadership make them uniquely positioned to define and dominate this emerging category. We’ve known Alex for 10 years, having worked closely with him as a mentor in the Techstars Boulder ecosystem.
